Are Trying to Prepare for a Healthy Pregnancy?

If we give them a chance, our doctors can provide us with a wealth of information. If we skip annual checkups, however, we may miss out on the opportunities that family physicians can offer. From advise about pregnancy classes to gynecological care to heart services, a family physician is often the gateway to the various services that a woman may need in her life.

Likewise, if you do not take advantage of the services that a women’s health center offers, you may not find out about pregnancy classes and birthing centers that are available in many locations around the country.
Unfortunately, an increasing number of Americans are not getting the day to day care they need, but are instead relying on expensive emergency rooms in hospitals. This is not only expensive, but hospital emergency room care can take a long time and expose those in the waiting room to many other more serious health conditions.
When was the last time that you visited the doctor? When was the last time that you made it to your annual checkup? If you are not taking the time to care for yourself, you may find yourself in a desperate situation that cannot be easily solved. Taking the time to visit a family physician or a women’s health center, on the other hand, can help you successfully prepare for a healthy pregnancy and many other even more serious conditions.
Where Do You Go When You Need Healthcare?
As the politicians in Washington continue to argue over the state of the Affordable Care Act and other options that may be available, it should come as no surprise that millions of Americans are anxiously awaiting the announcement of any decisions that are made. Consider these facts and figures about the healthcare system in America:

    • 4 million births occurred in the U.S. in the year 2015.
    • 3.5 million breast cancer survivors were alive as of January 1, 2016.
    • 14% of Americans has an orthopedic impairment.
    • Every 34 seconds, someone in America suffers a hear attack.
    • Heart disease is the number one cause of death in America.
    • 610,000 people die of heart disease in the U.S. every single year.

Given a chance, it is important to see a doctor on a regular basis. It can be impossible, though, to deal with many of the health conditions that many Americans face if they do not see a regular healthcare professional on a regular basis.
